Hotel Park Allé
Our history
It was the merchant John Wahlberg who, in the years 1876-1877, had this imposing building erected - designed by the well-known architect Helgo Zettervall. Zettervall also carried out renovations of the cathedrals of Lund and Uppsala in 1860–1902 and 1886–93, respectively. He also designed the now-demolished Hotel Anglais, inaugurated in 1885, located at Stureplan in Stockholm. The building housing Hotel Duxiana is made of brick and consists of a three-story corner building surrounding a pleasant courtyard. Some remodeling was done in 1920.
In 1936, parts of the house were converted into a hotel – which it still is today. In 2012, the process began to turn the hotel into a unique environment characterized by comfort and care for our guests. In the fall of 2015, the hotel changed its brand and became Hotel Duxiana, famous for its comfortable beds from Dux.
In 2021, the work of renovating all bathrooms began, a process that continues today and will carry on into 2022. Even more exciting is that the hotel is beginning another journey starting in 2022, a name change to Hotel Park Allé. With a view of Tivoli Park and an entrance facing a boulevard-like alley, the new name represents the hotel's location.
